Stuck In EFMP
Oh Nelly! It’s been a doozy of a few weeks. And I’m not sure why I’m pulling out a Southern drawl when I think of saying that…maybe it feels even more loathsome!
EFMP means Exceptional Family Member Program and it’s how the military makes sure that your personal and family healthcare are maintained when you move from place to place. If you’ve lived in the same place for most of your life, this would seem simple enough. But when you move as often as a military family does, it can get very complicated.
Pause Everything.
It’s been two weeks since Russia attacked Ukraine. Thousands of people have died. For some, it seems that life just carries on as usual and that this is a time to complain about current politics, inflation, rising gas prices, conspiracy theories 🙄, etc.
Waiting For Change
A lot of behind the scenes magic is happening. It’s the sort of magic that has me smiling on the outside while I’m meticulously sorting through all of our earthly belongings and breaking out in hives from the stress. Sounds fun, right?!
Welcome to military life! We are waiting for the news of where we will be moving this summer, June 2022, but unlike our 8 moves up to this point, we are free floating.
