Day Out: Birkenkopf
I guess I should really call this “an hour out” rather than a day out. Just a short drive from our front door is Birkenkopf — a man-made mountain called “Monte Scherbelino” by the locals which roughly translates to “Mount of Shards.”

Zwischen den Jahren
These hazy days between Christmas and Epiphany (January 6) have a name here in Germany — “Zwischen den Jahren” literally means “between the years” and I love how perfectly it describes how we all feel this unique time of year!

St. Stephen’s Day Service
I’ve grown up with the day after Christmas being focused on sales, returns, picking up holiday wrapping and cards for the next year, cleaning up from the day before, etc. This year, it’s different.

One Last Hurrah
Our first big city Christmas market and our last market of the season (maybe) was our very own city, Stuttgart. Brian’s heart’s desire was to ride the massive Ferris wheel set up at the Palace that overlooked the whole city, and Nola was dying to ice skate. Her hopes were dashed as it was far too warm. The rink had been converted to a rollerskating rink!
The Weekly Loves
The sweetest way to connect with a weekly note to your inbox, from me.
What’s the Weekly Loves all about?
You're here and thinking about signing up for my weekly love note. But you’re wondering....should you?
I’m the first to tell you, your inbox is sacred space! Letting someone into your inbox is inviting in a new friend and I know you only want the best in your life, like I do. That's why I only share value, things that lift and serve you as much as possible with helpful info, ideas, and free resources.
I send you my carefully curated list of a few things that you’ll love each Friday around noon MST, plus a link to the recent blog posts so you can stay in the loop with our adventures on this side of the world.
Think of it as a “muse bouche” of the best things to love, curated just for you, by me.
