Road Trip: Prague
Prague is magical! It is so much like a fairytale, I can’t wait to go back. We stayed near the castle in an old bed & breakfast, full of charm, that used to be horse stables. Just a few steps out the door and we had the best views over the city with all of the spires and European charm you expect.
Road Trip: Budapest
I admit. I was a bit nervous about all the driving since I was the only driver for this trip. I purchased the required vignettes (road fees) for each country in advance and knew I would just need to watch for gas stations to stop at since they seem to be much more infrequent than what I am used to in the US. One thing we noticed right away when we entered Hungary were billboards for McDonalds!
Road Trip: Vienna
“What do you want to see?” Matt’s mom has traveled through Europe twice before with her daughter for a high school tour so she has seen a lot already. When thinking about seeing something new, I knew we would need to head east into Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
Tuscany Trip: Siena
Siena was a beautiful hour and a half drive away through small villages and towns. We arrived early and I loved the empty old town streets as we made our way to Piazza del Campo to meet our tour guide for the day.
